Our Story – Cheryl’s Cakes

Before there was ever a business, there was just me — baking. I started making cakes long before I ever thought about selling them. Baking was just something I loved to do. I’ve made so many cakes over the years that I don’t even need recipes anymore — it’s all by heart and feel.

To be honest, I never planned to have a cake shop. It wasn’t part of some big business dream. I was kind of pushed into it when I started making cake slices for Louise’s Kitchen, and from there, things just started to grow. What began as something small turned into something that people really loved — and that love is what keeps me going.

Baking has always been my peace, my passion, and my way of showing love. It’s pushed me to grow, to take classes, and to dream about what’s next. Now, Cheryl’s Cakes is growing into something bigger — with plans for our very own brick-and-mortar shop in the near future.

But more than anything, I do this for my son, Trent. I want him to see what can happen when you follow what you love. I want him to have something to look back on — a legacy, a footprint of what his mama built from the heart.
